Vakkar Salon is looking for a motivated associate stylist who wants to become part of a professional, collaborative team.

A valid cosmetology license is required.

You do not need to bring a clientele. We are looking for the right person and are prepared to invest in their growth.

Every stylist greets every client. We help one another throughout the day, support each other behind the chair, and build relationships with all of the clients who visit the salon.

As an associate stylist, you will become part of that environment from the beginning. You will learn how to care for clients at an elevated level while developing the skills, confidence, and relationships needed to build a successful career.

What You Will Learn

This is a hands-on position designed to teach you the complete workflow of a high-end salon.

You will learn through:

Assisting stylists throughout the day
Shampooing, prepping, and caring for clients
Blow-drying and finishing
Learning our consultation, haircutting, color, and client-care methods
Booking appointments and learning salon systems
Answering phones and communicating professionally
Helping maintain a clean, polished, welcoming salon environment
Building relationships with clients across the salon
Participating in education and ongoing training

Every responsibility matters. Supporting the environment, assisting the team, and caring for clients are not separate from becoming a great stylist. They are part of the foundation.

Your Career Path

This is not a permanent assistant position.

The goal is for you to learn our methods, begin taking clients, build your book of business from within the salon, and grow into a successful commission stylist on our team.

You will begin with an hourly structure plus tips while learning and developing your clientele. Starting earnings generally range from $27–$32 per hour, including hourly pay and tips.

As your business grows, you will have the opportunity to transition into commission. Once established and fully booked, commission stylists have the potential to earn approximately $65–$110 per working hour, depending on their service mix and productivity.

Our pricing supports meaningful long-term growth:

Haircuts begin at $115
Basic color services begin around $105
Larger color appointments can reach several hundred dollars
