GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE
The Associate Hair Stylist plays a vital role in engaging guests, providing consultations on their hair care needs, and recommending suitable products and services. This temporary position aims to equip individuals for a stylist role, focusing on delivering high-quality professional services while emphasizing the guest's complete look. For the first three months, the Associate will be mentored by a Master or Elite Stylist and will concentrate on performance, guest service, and adherence to operational standards. In the following months, the Associate will begin handling guests independently.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (*Essential Functions)
The Associate Hair Stylist embodies Ulta Beauty's mission and values, skillfully performing the following duties:

PerformanceDeliver outstanding guest service and contribute to exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and retail shrink.Assist the mentor Stylist in achieving sales and productivity targets for hair services and haircare products, which includes:Making add-on recommendationsShampooing and treating hairPerforming blowouts and stylingApplying global and retouch colorAssisting with foilsMaintaining cleanliness and organizationBooking appointmentsMaking retail product recommendationsAfter three months, provide various hair services such as cuts, color, styling, makeup applications, and brow services.Engage in product demonstrations with guests to enhance their experience and drive sales.Support in-store events and promotions, ensuring an exceptional guest experience.Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and techniques to better serve guests.Maintain regular, reliable attendance.PeopleBuild strong relationships with guests through consultations and tailored recommendations.Timely and efficiently serve all guests, including walk-ins, under the guidance of a mentor.Collaborate with skin therapists and retail teams to enhance the overall guest experience.Foster professional relationships with peers and brand partners to deliver exceptional service.Share information about the guest loyalty program and the Ulta Beauty app with salon and sales floor guests.ProcessEnsure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies and procedures.Follow safety and sanitation standards before, during, and after services.Utilize established service protocols to guarantee a consistent and exceptional guest experience.Manage booking and clientele systems effectively for returning guests.Communicate supply needs to the Experience Manager to maintain guest readiness.Uphold store operational standards for cleanliness in all assigned areas.Participate in mandatory trainings for ongoing professional development.Adhere to Ulta Beauty’s dress code.Safeguard company assets through best practices in loss prevention and guest service.Perform other operational tasks as directed.JOB QUALIFICATIONS
