Assistant Stylist

Job Summary In this role, you will support the daily operations of our salon, assist with client services, and help maintain a welcoming environment for both clients and staff. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, creative setting while gaining more education and experience in this field. Duties Licensed NYS Cosmetologist or in the process of obtaining license Prior experience working in the beauty industry or a related customer service environment is preferred Strong communication skills with the ability to connect confidently with clients and team members Basic understanding of hair care, hair coloring, hair extensions, styling techniques, and sanitation practices Familiarity with cosmetology concepts such as color theory, barbering, cutting, and waxing Ability to perform retail math for upselling products effectively Experience working with diverse beauty treatments including hair coloring, styling, and straight razor shaving is a plus A professional attitude with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
