Peyton Company Great Clips- Area Manager

**Full-Time | Multiple Salon Locations**

Are you a hands-on salon leader who loves developing people and driving results? The Peyton Company, a Great Clips franchise, is looking for an experienced **Area Manager** to lead a group of 3-4 salons. This is a great fit for someone who wants ownership over their own territory, enjoys staying connected to the floor, and is ready to build strong teams and strong numbers.

**What You'll Do**

* Oversee and support 3-4 salons, taking full ownership of staffing, scheduling, and day-to-day operations
* Lead, coach, and develop salon managers — setting clear expectations, holding regular check-ins, and conducting performance reviews
* Recruit, hire, and retain great managers and stylists; build a pipeline of future leaders
* Step in and work the floor when a salon is short on management coverage
* Conduct monthly salon visits and quality-control reviews covering service, sanitation,
staffing, and brand standards
* Coach your teams on the 5 Steps to Delivering GREAT and Great Clips technical and service
standards
* Dig into the numbers — customer counts, CPH, payroll, sales, and retail — and build action
plans to close gaps
* Build schedules that control payroll while keeping wait times low and coverage strong,
including evenings and weekends
* Handle customer and employee concerns quickly, fairly, and professionally
* Keep every salon compliant with company policy, HR practices, and safety/sanitation
standards
* Lead team meetings, share best practices across salons, and champion customer loyalty
and retail growth

Requirements

**What We're Looking For**

* Active cosmetology or barber license, as required by your state
* Proven experience leading a salon or multiple salons, with a track record of developing
people and hitting business goals
* Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills, with the ability to hold people
accountable while keeping the culture positive
* Solid grasp of salon operations — scheduling, staffing, payroll, inventory, and key metrics
* Comfortable working with salon technology and POS systems
* Flexibility to work evenings/weekends and travel between assigned salons
* Ability to be on your feet and perform stylist duties on the floor; able to lift up to 20 lbs

**Schedule & Pay**

This is a full-time role that combines an **hourly rate for time spent cutting on the salon floor** (minimum of 24 hours per week) with a **salary for your remaining hours**, including administrative work and taking calls. Regular travel and in-person presence across your assigned salons is a core part of this role.
