Apprentice Hair Stylist

Join our team as an Apprentice Hair Stylist! Upon successfully obtaining your cosmetology license, you will have the opportunity to apply for a Stylist position; however, this promotion is not automatic. To qualify for the Stylist role, you must meet the following criteria: 1) Hold a valid cosmetology license specific to your state, 2) Be capable of performing services allowed by your license (such as cutting, styling, and coloring hair), and 3) Show adherence to our core values of honesty, accountability, integrity, and respect. Essential Functions: • Market and Grow the Business: • Promote and sell salon services and products, highlighting options that enhance clients' satisfaction • Clearly explain service pricing • Assist in coordinating promotional displays as directed • Handle sales for walk-in retail customers • Provide Outstanding Customer Service: • Greet customers professionally and understand their needs • Estimate wait times accurately for appointments • Answer the phone in a prompt and courteous manner • Tactfully handle complaints, referring issues to the manager when necessary • Manage and Control Expenses: • Follow the weekly salon schedule provided by the manager • Accurately charge for services and products, applying discounts as per company policy • Safeguard company assets in line with company procedures • Complete Administrative Tasks: • Assist with various tasks such as answering phones, stocking shelves, and maintaining salon cleanliness • Communicate professionally with management and team members • Maintain safety standards to ensure a safe salon environment • Attend work reliably, including mandatory meetings and training sessions • Follow corporate policies and procedures • Manage POS transactions accurately • Standing for extended periods throughout the day • Reaching for products at different heights • Occasional pushing and pulling of salon equipment • Exposure to various salon chemicals and fragrances • Possible use of a ladder for stocking or maintenance • Ability to effectively communicate with customers regarding their services • Basic reading and writing skills to complete forms • Occasional travel may be required for meetings and training
