General Summary & ScopeThe Advanced Stylist plays a key role in engaging with guests and consulting on their hair care needs while recommending relevant products and services. This position emphasizes high-quality professional services aimed at enhancing the overall guest experience. You will collaborate with the Experience Manager (EM) and Assistant Services Manager (ASM) to focus on performance (service sales and productivity), people (guest service), and process (operating procedures and compliance standards). A genuine passion for the beauty industry, outstanding guest service skills, and a desire to learn and share product knowledge are essential.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)The Advanced Stylist embodies the mission, vision, and values of Ulta Beauty by consistently excelling in the following areas:

Provide a variety of hair services including haircuts, color treatments, styling, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, and makeup application.Achieve or exceed an average weekly sales goal of $1900 and productivity objectives by providing exceptional guest service while contributing to overall store goals in retail and service sales.Demonstrate products to guests to elevate both sales and their service experience.Assist in executing in-store events and promotional activities that enhance guest experience.Stay updated on industry trends, products, and services to serve guests more effectively.Maintain punctuality and regular attendance.People

Build relationships with guests through consultations and targeted service recommendations.Serve all guests promptly, including walk-ins, ensuring a comprehensive experience.Collaborate with skin therapists and the retail team to provide a seamless guest experience throughout the store.Form professional relationships with peers and brand partners to enhance guest service delivery.Promote the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app, during guest interactions.Participate in mandatory training sessions to foster professional growth.Process

Ensure compliance with all Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and standards.Maintain safety and sanitation procedures according to state guidelines before, during, and after services.Follow service protocols consistently to guarantee exceptional guest experiences.Utilize booking systems effectively to schedule return services and events.Communicate supply needs to the Experience Manager to ensure a ready environment for guests.Uphold cleanliness standards in the salon, sales floor, restrooms, and other designated areas.Wear appropriate attire in accordance with Ulta Beauty’s dress code.Protect company assets by following loss prevention protocols and delivering exceptional guest service.Complete additional operational tasks as directed.Job QualificationsEducation

Cosmetology license requiredExperience

Relevant work experience is mandatorySkills

Expertise in haircutting, coloring, styling, treatments, extensions, makeup, and ear piercing techniques.Confidence in utilizing salon equipment and chemicals.Aptitude to recommend and sell hair care and makeup products effectively.Strong communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.Talent for establishing and nurturing strong client relationships.Special Position RequirementsFlexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.Working Conditions

The pay range for this position is $21.00 per hour, with opportunities for service pay based on the Company's Services Compensation Plan. Pay will reflect your education, qualifications, experience, and other relevant factors. Eligible associates may also receive overtime pay and tips.
